写真家ピーター・リンドバーグのサインは一生ものの宝です。

さっきフェイスブックで
朝ドラ「なつぞら」の天陽くんの死を悼んだばかりだった。

なのに、続けざまに、
写真家ピーター・リンドバーグの訃報を知った。
9月3日。74歳で亡くなったそうだ。

インスタでは、イタリアンヴォーグ編集長も
写真家ニック・ナイトもマリオ・ソレンティも悲しみにくれている。

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Lindbergh on September 3rd 2019, at the age of 74.
He is survived by his wife Petra, his first wife Astrid, his four sons Benjamin, Jérémy, Simon, Joseph and seven grandchildren.

Very sad to hear of the death of the great and soulful photographer Peter Lindbergh. My condolences to his family, nearest and dearest and all the many who loved him .
The humanity and beauty he saw in people will live on through his work forever.

資生堂エリクシールのキャンペーンに参加させていただいた時、カメラマンは誰がいい？と資生堂のAD sonomiさんに聞かれました。当時、イタリアン・ヴォーグで大活躍のカメラマン、ピーター・リンドバーグに憧れていた僕は、無茶も承知で「ピーター」と答えました。「そう。いいかも」資生堂とピーターのつながりがあったようで、実現する運びになりました。なんという快挙。海外ロケだったので、撮影に立ち会うことは叶いませんでしたが、プリントが上がってくるたびに興奮していたのを思い出します。東京で待つ僕のために、写真集にサインをもらってきてくれました。
